Annual Church Meeting
We have come to the time of year when we hold our APCM and around this time we do a number of things including updating our Electoral Roll, electing Church Wardens, PCC members and deanery synod members. Further information below and if you would like to know more please talk to Chris.
Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM)
Will be held on Sunday 6th May after at 10.30am This is between the 9.30am service and before the 11.30 family eucharist. All welcome and encouraged to come along.
Revision of the church electoral roll
The APCM is the time when we update the electoral roll (the Church membership list) if you are coming along regularly and part of our community please do add your name. There are forms at the back of Church to do this.
PCC members
The APCM is the time when we elect the Church Council for the year ahead, this group of people who act as trustees of the Church and support the Clergy in managing the life of the church. If you would like to help and support this group, please put yourselves forward for election. If you are already on the PCC and would like to come off or continue please have a word or want more information to have a word with Chris
Treasurer role
We are in need of PCC members who have particular skills in financial management. The Church has a approx. a £140,000 year turnover and as a charity we need to ensure that the Church accounts are recorded correctly and that we meet our governance commitments. Phil Northcott our current treasurer has held this roll for the last 5 years and is to step down and done a great job. Would you be able to help the church by serving in this role. Although most of the day-to-day management happens in the parish office we still need a treasurer to oversee it and ensure that is done correctly. If you or know someone who could help, please have a word with Chris.
